S.W.A.M.P. Education Program

The Swamp Water And Me Program (S.W.A.M.P.) has been providing a unique learning experience since 1999 to every 6th-grade student in Collier County, nearly 3,000 students each year. This immersive and curriculum-based program takes students beyond the classroom, diving deep into the world of the watershed, associated habitats, and the crucial role that freshwater swamps play in providing clean water to the estuary. Through hands-on experiences, students develop a deep connection with the environment, cultivating a sense of responsibility and appreciation for the world around them.

L.A.C.E. Award

The Lisa Andrews Conservation and Education Award (L.A.C.E. Award) was established to honor the legacy of Ranger Lisa Andrews, whose career has been devoted to preserving our nation’s natural spaces and cultivating the next generation of environmental leaders.
